SO much that's been going on the last month. Went to NY for a memorial service for an old friend. I did get to see other friends from High School. I still can't quite believe he's gone. Such a nice guy.

Busy Last Couple Weeks

I've been SO busy since last blog. Went to Syracuse NY for a friends memorial service on 9/20. Very tough to say goodbye. Bill was a nice guy and also my high school sweetheart. I still can't believe he's gone, especially to drown in Lake Ontario--I guess we'll never really know what happened in the 10 minute interval from when he was last seen to when he was found. Even though I got to see some other friends, meet some new friends and did some 'NY' things, it was still a very sad time for me. I did find hippies still exist, young and old, when I went to the Westcott Street Fair up on the hill--wow, what a deja vu to the 60's and 70's! I didn't get much shopping in (I like the stores there better than Florida for professional work clothes). And, of course, a stop at the Harrison Bakery for Half Moons!!!!! YUM! Went to Webers for Fried Haddock and Danzers for a Reuben!!!! No pizza this time :(
Since home I've been knitting like crazy for Gifts and ordering some online gives as well. I hope to be done by Mid-Nov so I can enjoy the holidays at home and not in the crowds. This weekend I have to scan some pictures and get copies in the mail........

My new 4-wheeler! Can't wait to try it out. Gonna have to fight off the grandkids on this one! It's been 10 years since I've had one, but they sure are fun.

1 Cat

A little kitten..or 4? Time to introduce them. This is Dennis, a 7 year old persian. He's a real sweetie and takes the term 'fraidy cat' to heart. But only for small children and other cats. He's a motorboat with his purring and loves his chin, neck and 'pits' scratched. He likes his face combed, but he doesn't like you to clean is eyes with a tissue. Hmm...just like a child when you try to wipe their nose! LOL.... He likes to be in the same room as me, but only cuddles during reading time at night before the lights go out. His nap time is usually from 10am to 4pm....I have NO idea what he does at night! At least he doesn't get into trouble. But he does like to help type.

1st blog....

I have so much to add to get this set up....and, of course, so little time. I really don't have time for a job, what with all my projects--but have to pay the bills! But first--need to get a different picture, one where I haven't had a couple Long Island Ice Teas...but hey, I was on vacation in the Keys. I have just finished my 1st felting project pictured here. It's a 'wine bottle cozy', which are both decorative and will insulate the bottle if you want to keep it a little cool-well, in theory anyway. The wool is drying now with the bottle inside. It was a BEAR to get the bottle in--just hope I can get it out!..might need Plan B---(1)drink wine, (2)rinse bottle, (3) let bottle dry, (4)break bottle, (5)get smaller bottle of wine. LOL.. hmm...I think I had better do steps 2 thru 5 on a different day than step 1!
